Patient notice: how your discharge summary is prepared

Your doctor uses a service called Kural, made by Intelliwise Private Limited, Bengaluru, to prepare your discharge summary: the paper that records your stay and tells you how to look after yourself at home.
What is used. Your name, age and sex; your hospital numbers (IP number and UHID); the dates of your stay; your diagnosis, any operation, your test results, allergies and medicines; and your doctor's notes about your stay.
How it is prepared. Your doctor writes a short note about your stay. An artificial-intelligence service run by Anthropic, a company outside India, reads the note and writes a first draft. Anthropic does not use your details to train its AI. Your doctor reads every line, corrects it and signs it. Only your doctor can sign it.
Where it is kept. On Google Cloud computers in Mumbai, India, in a protected section of a database that Intelliwise also uses for its hospital product, DOM.
How long. A signed discharge summary is a medical record. It is kept permanently and is not deleted. If something needs correcting, a new version is made and the old one is kept.
Improving the service. Intelliwise may read these records, only to test and improve how Kural drafts, including training its own AI. It never publishes your details or gives them to anyone else.
What is never done. Your details are not sold, not used for advertising, not given to others for their own use, and not used to contact you.
