Kural discharge summaries: Privacy Policy

Version 1, 27 September 2026. This policy is about your own personal data as a doctor using Kural. Your patients' details are covered by the Terms (clause 3): for those, you are the Data Fiduciary and Intelliwise processes them for you.

1. WHO WE ARE

Kural discharge summaries is run by Intelliwise Private Limited (CIN U26600KA2026PTC227170), No. 201, 2nd Floor, VBHC Apt, Byagadadenahalli, Block 30, Anekal, Bangalore 562106, Karnataka. For your data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Intelliwise is the Data Fiduciary.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

From your Google sign-in: your name, email address and Google account identifier. We never see your Google password.

What you give us when you sign up: your name as registered, your state medical council and registration number, your clinic or hospital, your department, the signature printed under every summary, and, if you choose, a number patients can call, a letterhead image, the letterhead space in cm, and a copy of your registration certificate.

The check of your registration: who at Intelliwise checked it, when, and the result. We check it by searching your council's public register.

Your acceptance of the Terms: which version, and when.

Payments and invoices: Razorpay takes your payment; we receive its reference and status, never your card or bank details. We keep your invoices and GST details.

How you use Kural: your summaries and their counts (as shown in your cockpit), sign-in sessions, and technical logs such as the time and address of a request.

WhatsApp: only if you confirm a number, once WhatsApp is switched on. It is not switched on today.

3. WHY WE USE IT

To run your account; to check that you are a registered doctor before drafting is switched on; to print your name, signature and registration number on your summaries; to take payments and issue GST invoices; to keep Kural secure and working; and to meet our legal duties, such as tax records.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. WHERE IT IS KEPT, AND WHO HELPS US

Google Cloud: hosting and the database, in Mumbai, India (asia-south1).
Zoho: account and billing email.
Razorpay: payments, in India.

Your data is held in an access-controlled section of a database Intelliwise also uses for its other products, including DOM. People at Intelliwise see your data only to check your registration, to support you, and to run the service.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Your signed summaries carry your name, signature and registration number, and a signed summary is a medical record kept permanently (Terms, clause 3.8). So your account details are kept for as long as your summaries are. Payment and invoice records are kept for at least as long as tax law requires.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to erase what we are not required to keep; name someone to act for you if you cannot; and raise a grievance with us. If we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Your name, council and registration number are locked once your registration is verified, because they are what was checked. To change them, write to us.

7. COOKIES

Kural's app uses two cookies, both for signing in: one that lasts the ten minutes of a Google sign-in, and one that keeps you signed in. It has no advertising or tracking cookies. The website sets no cookies.

8. CHANGES

When this policy changes, we publish a new version and ask you to accept it the next time you open Kural.
